Model 1089 Family of Checktrodes™
Physiological recordings can easily be contaminated by noise and interference; in most cases, high electrode contact impedance is part of the problem. Noise often appears as 50 or 60 Hz "hum" from surrounding AC-powered electrical devices or as erratic spikes due to motion of the electrode wires. In virtually every case, these troublesome artifacts can be mitigated or eliminated by reducing contact impedance at the skin/electrode interface. UFI's Checktrode™ testers were designed to accomplish this electrode-optimizing task.
UFI offers four time- and frustration-saving Checktrodes. Our standard 1089 allows rapid evaluation of contact impedance when two electrodes are used. For multiple electrode configurations, our 1089ES and 1089NP permit individual evaluation of the electrodes in large arrays, such as EEG "caps." The 1089e is our latest offering -- and at an economical price.
Model 1504 Series Signal Simulators
The 1504 Signal Simulator line provides input test signals to allow quick, reliable checks to your bioresearch measurement equipment. The standard 1504 outputs a single channel of low-frequency differential square wave for testing most signal conditioners. The 1504SP custom simulator provides one to three channels of user-specified signal waveforms. The 1504SPG includes an LCD waveform display to allow a convenient check on the waveform at the simulator.
Two other models provide test signals for our Hot Flash BioLogs™. The 1504-SCL supplies switch-selectable simulation of 0-, 10-, 20- and 30-microsiemen (micromho) skin conductances. The 1504SP-HF adds an authentic, programmable "spike" in skin conductance to simulate the actual hot flash phenomenon.
